Ionia County News - Thurs. February 15, 1923

Daniel W.Tower, practically a life-long resident of Grand Rapids, died at 
Blodgett Hospital in that city Sunday, following an operation from which he 
failed to rally.
Mr Tower, who was unmarried, was a grandson of Samuel Dexter, founder of Ionia. 
He was one of the earliest landowners in Grand Rapids, going to that city in 
1834. 
The deceased was a relative of Mrs.A.P. Loomis, Clyde Sessions and Miss Clara 
Sessions of this city. The funeral was held Wednesday.
