The Portland Observer, Tuesday, July 26, 1910
Capt. Osmond S. Tower, one of the prominent business men of the county, died 
at his home in Ionia Wednesday at the age of seventy years.  Mr. Tower was 
president of the State Savings bank, the Sorosis Garment Company and has for 
years been identified with the best business interests at the county seat.  
His parents were among the early settlers of the county and he has spent his 
life in Ionia.
