Sentinel-Std. - Wednesday, May 15, 1974

S. Reed Town, 70 of 32 All Spruce drive, St. Louis, died Tuesday at Gratiot 
Memorial hospital at Alma.

He was born in Muir June 30, 1903, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Town.

August 26, 1943, he was married to Merna Rhynard of Lansing, who died March 
21, 1974. They had made their home at Golden, Colo, until 1971 when they 
moved to St. Louis.

He is a nephew of H.F. Gardner of Lyons and other relatives in the Ionia 
area are Mrs. Lawrence Nelson of Lyons and Mrs. Harry Hendrickson of Ionia.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 pm at the Estep funeral home north of 
Muir, Rev. Charles Lynch of St. Johns Episcopal church of Ionia will 
officiate.
