Ionia Daily Standard, 3 Mar 1898

Lorenzo Towne, an aged gentleman living in town, was stricken with la grippe,
from which he passed away March 1.  Funeral at Green church, March 2, Rev. Mr.
Gibbs officiating.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that he was
buried in Green Cemetery.]
