Ionia sentinel 7 October 1968
Mrs. Robert Williams of Belding received word Sunday of the death of her son, 
spec 5 Terry Towne, 21, in Vietnam. Delivering the message was spec 5, Thomas 
Rohloff of Grand Rapids, who said spec 5 Towne died October 4. The Belding 
soldier was born November 3, 1946 and is the son of Mrs. Robert Williams and 
Herbert Towne of Belding. He entered service February 14, 1966 and received his 
basic training at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Following 30 days of leave he departed 
for Vietnam March 17, 1968.

Besides his parents he is survived by two brothers, Roger Towne and Richard 
Williams, and two sisters, Mrs. Sharon Arnold and Cynthia Williams.
