Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Thurs. June 5,1986

IONIA- Robert C.E. Towne, 69, of Ionia, died Tuesday at the Ionia County 
Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 1, 1917.

Survivors are his mother Altha Towne of Houghton Lake; one daughter, Ilene 
Squires of Merritt; one step-son Joseph Campbell of Houghton Lake; one step-
daughter, Marie Lapham of Farmington; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 
and three sisters, Pearle McIlrath , Mildred Spink, and Gladys Patnode, all of 
Houghton Lake.

Funeral services will be today at 1:30 p.m. at the Christler Funeral Home in 
Houghton Lake.

Burial will be in Roscommon Township Cemetery.
