Mrs. Towne died Monday in St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids of injuries received in an automobile accident at Berridge and Snow Lake roads. She was born in Ionia April 6, 1941. She married Roger Towne August 20, 1960. A resident of Greenville for seven months, she had previously lived in Belding. She was an assembler for AMWAY Corporation, and a member of Zion Church in Ionia. Surviving are her husband, Roger; four daughters, Sandra, Cathleen, Wanda and Christine; one son, Roger Jr.; her mother, Lucille (Gibson) Burton; a grandmother, Mrs. Marie Dick of Hubbardston; five sisters, Mrs. Carol Butler, Tampa, Florida, Mrs. Donna Stone, Lansing, Mrs. Eldora Brady, Ionia, Miss Alberta Burton, Ionia, and Mrs. Shirley Palmer of Belding; three brothers, Gary Burton and Donald Burton of Detroit, and David Burton of Greenville. The funeral was at Huffman Funeral Home with Reverend Ernest J. Fredricks of Faith Baptist Church in Greenville officiating. Interment was in Balcome Cemetery in Ionia. Bearers were Daniel Stone, Myron Palmer, Mike Brady, William Mason, Murl Hopkins and Albert Towne.
