Ionia Sentinel Standard, 17 Apr 1965

Mrs. Eva Mae Towne, 84, former resident of Ionia, died at 1 o’clock Friday
afternoon at William Beaumont hospital in Royal Oak where she had been confined
three months.  She was born November 18, 1880, the daughter of Charles and
Nellie Waltrous Dolson, and lived in Ionia except for the past 10 years when she
resided with her daughter, Mrs. Harold Martin of 622 South Connecticut street,
Royal Oak.  Mrs. Towne was formerly employed at Walton bakery in Ionia for many
years.

Her husband, Harvey to whom she was married in 1906, died October 19, 1940.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Harold Martin of Royal Oak; one son, Gordon
Towne of Saginaw; four grand and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at Boynton funeral home Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev.
Wilfred G. Sawyier of First Presbyterian church officiating.  Interment will be
at Highland Park cemetery.
