Wife Dies, Husband Ill From Pneumonia

Mrs. Richard Towner, 70, longtime resident of Danby township, died Tuesday 
evening at the home of her niece, Mrs. Archie Brady, following an illness from 
pneumonia.  Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock at 
the Towner farm home one-half mile east of the Compton schoolhouse.  Burial 
will take place in the Danby cemetery.

Her husband, Richard Towner, 80, is also seriously ill with pneumonia at the 
Brady home and at the time of his wife’s death little hopes were held out for 
his recovery.  This morning, however, reports from his bedside stated that he 
was slightly improved.
