She was born in Portland, had spent her entire life here and was widely known. Mr. Towner died several years ago. Funeral services were held on Wednesday at Bandfield chapel, Rev. Benjamin I. Davies, of the Congregational church officiating. Bearers were Forrest Townsend, Carl Smith, Lestus Kirkham, Ernest Pitch, all neighbors. Mrs. Towner was formerly Miss Edith Moore and was born here Oct. 4, 1878. She had been a member of Congregational church for many years. Surviving are the son, Kenneth, a half-brother, John Moore; a nephew, Verne Soules, and niece, Maude Doyle.
