Harmon Towns, 87, Died at Pennock Fri.

Harmon towns, 87, died at Pennock hospital in Hastings, Friday, after a short 
illness. He was born April 13, 1859, in Steuben county Ind., and spent his 
childhood there before coming to Michigan where he resided in this community 
with the exception of several years spent in Florida. Mr.Towns was a member of 
the Thornapple Church of the Brethren.

His first wife, Emma Flory towns of near Nashville, preceded  him in death about 
38 years ago. he was later married to Mary Hoover of near Sunfield.

Surviving are the widow, Mary, two daughters, Mrs.Lulu First at Sunfield, and 
Mrs.Ruth Lepard of Lake Odessa, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. 
Funeral services were held at the Pickens Funeral Chapel Monday afternoon with 
burial in Sunfield cemetery. The Rev. E.A. Shull and the Rev. Carl Welch 
officiated.
