Ionia County News, 29 Dec 1921

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Calista Townsend, aged 77, and pioneer 
resident of Ionia county, are being held this afternoon, Thursday, from the 
LeValley church in Orange township.  Mrs. Townsend passed to her reward Sunday 
afternoon while on a visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ora C. Blackner, at 
Pewamo.  She was the widow of George Townsend and until last March had made her 
home with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Riker in Orange township.  She leaves two sisters, 
Mrs. McNeil, of Orange, and Mrs. VanLovern, of Ionia.
