Twice within twelve days death has entered the family of Andrew C. Townsend, 
of Orange, claiming as its second victim his wife, who died at the family home 
Sunday evening.  The cause of her death was given as heart trouble.

Mrs. Townsend was 70 years of age and was born in Ontario county, Ohio, but 
had lived in this county many years.  The death of her daughter, Mrs. Glenn 
Sprague, occurred twelve days before that of her mother, when her eighth son 
was born.

Besides the husband Mrs. Townsend is survived by five children, Mrs. Earl 
Benedict, of Muir; Mrs. Ruth Sible, of Flint; Mrs. Emma Reeder, Clifford 
Townsend and Lynn Townsend, of Orange.  The funeral was held from the late 
residence, Wednesday afternoon.
