Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Tues. June 7, 1977

PEWAMO- L.G. Townsend, 68, former resident, was buried in Clarkston Saturday.

He was born in Pewamo in 1909, the son of Fred and Bessie Townsend. 

He married the former Cordula Mitchell and she preceded him in death in 1965.

Survivors include one son; four daughters, grandchildren and great-
grandchildren; one brother, Dale of Lyons; four sisters, Elsie Fletcher of 
Houghton Lake, Sunshine Simon of Lyons and Ruth Cotton and Beth Roberts of 
Ionia and several nieces and nephews.
