The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, October 26, 1920


Eugene M. Townsend died at his home at Lincoln avenue early this morning at the 
age of 77 years.  Mr. Townsend was a member of the local G.A.R.  

Besides his wife, he leaves to survive him two daughters, Mrs. Ellie Pouch of 
Ionia and Mrs. Flora Huthart of California. 

The funeral will be held on Thursday at two o’clock at the home.  Rev. Branch 
will officiate and the interment will be in Highland Park.
