He was born in Russell, New York, in 1854 and as a child came to Michigan with his parents. He lived south of Carson City on what is known as the Goodell farm for many years. For months he had been sick and suffered a great deal and was cared for by his two sisters, Mrs. Alice Wilson of New Haven township, Gratiot county, and Mrs. Mattie Reimer of Palo. He entered into the world to come with a confessed faith in Christ and a confidence of his acceptance with God. He was in his 79th year. Besides his two sisters, he leaves three sons, Albert, James and Ford, who live in Bloomer township. The funeral was held Monday from the home of Fred Wilson, a nephew, four miles southeast of Carson City, Rev. Floyd N. Drake officiated. The burial was in the East Side cemetery at Hubbardston, beside the body of his wife who died 16 years ago.
