Ionia Sentinel Standard, 13 Dec 1969

Word was received in Ionia …[unreadable]… of the death of Ray E. Townsend, 73,
retired Ionia farmer, who died in Mesa, Arizona Lutheran hospital.  Mr. Townsend
was a member of the Ionia Elks.  He went to Mesa in 1963.

Surviving is his wife, Sarah.

Funeral services were December 5 at Scottsdale, Ariz.  Cremation followed the
service.

[Transcriber’s note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that he was
buried in Highland Park Mausoleum.]
