Wilma N. Townsend
Woodland, MI- Wilma N. Townsend, age 97, of Woodland, passed away on Thursday, Feb.
1, 2018 at the Pennock Campus of Spectrum Health in Hastings.

Wilma was born on August 28, 1920 to Charles and Valenta (Cunningham) King. Besides
being an excellent mother, Wilma also served the Lakewood Schools as classroom aide.

She was dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who was always there when needed. Her
strength, not only physical but spiritual and emotional was an inspiration to all. A
big part of this was her devotion to her Faith and friends both within and outside of church.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Pamela Mix, Peggy (Ron) France,
Barbara (Darrel) Bosworth and Shelley Steward; grandchildren, Jeff, (Selena) Duits, Greg
(Tricia) Duits, Chris (Jodi) Duits, Jennifer (Steve) Haakenson, Manda (Dave) Nurenberg, Tami
Bosworth, Trevor (Harvest) Bosworth, Timothy Bosworth, Troy (Mindee) Bosworth, Matt
(Jennifer) Steward and Gabe (Melissa) Steward, many great grandchildren and several
great-great-grandchildren.

Wilma was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, Franklin; daughter, Tamara;
sons-in-law, Jeff Steward and Terrence Mix; grandson, Lucas Steward;
great-granddaughters, Emily  Duits and Kelsey Duits.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Feb 5, 2018 at Hope Church of the Brethren,
14275 92nd Street, Freeport, MI. 49324. Burial took place at Woodland Memorial Park
following the funeral services. 

Memorials can be given to Lakewood Educaitonal Foundation or the Lake Odessa Public
