Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock from the residence. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Bissell of Pewamo, and Mrs. Harold Walters of Benton Harbor; three sons, Fay of Lyons, Howard, of Ionia, and Ernest of Portland, Oregon. She also leaves two brothers, Edward Crone of Prairie Creek, and H. Crone, who residence is unknown; and two half sisters. She was born in Ohio in 1868 and came to Michigan when a small child. She was married to Raymond Townsend who died July 7, 1933 and she had resided for many years in Lyons township near Pewamo. Subsequent Publication – Wednesday, August 7, 1935 Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Townsend, Lyons township, who died early Sunday morning, were held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock from the residence with Rev. L. M. Whittemore, pastor of the Lyons Methodist church, officiating. Bearers were Henry Snyder, Charles Wright, Eric Gee, Homer Gee, Plynn Woodworth and Hector Gee. Music was rendered by Dorothy and Doris Jorgensen, Vera Steadman, Bertha Thomas and William Woodworth.
