                         Mavis Ialene Townsend

Mavis Ialene Townsend, 78 of Ionia assed away November 19, 2010.

Mavis was born August 28, 1932, the daughter of Floyd and Esther (Williams) 
Ferguson.Mavis was a member of the First Baptist Church and often volunteered in 
her community. She married James Clayton Townsend on OCt.5, 1951 and he passed 
away on Aug. 27,1994.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her brothers, Willard, 
Virgil and Carl.

Surviving are her children Marvin (Julie) Townsend and Janet Townsend; three 
grandchildren, Chelsea,Andrew and Julie Kastelan; and a sister, Faith Cole.

The Funeral Service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Ionia at 11 
a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial 
Gardens. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m and 6 t 8 p.m., Tuesday at 
the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia.
