The Ionia Standard, Friday, December 6, 1895
Mrs. Joseph Townsend, of near Pewamo, died on Thursday night of consumption.  
Deceased was one of the early pioneers of that section, highly respected, and 
her demise will be sad news to the people of eastern Ionia county.  Funeral 
services on Sunday, at the residence.
