Tracy, 78, died at Newhall Convalescent Home in Morley Monday, March 24, at 1 p.m. after being a patient there since July. He was born in Ionia, April 4, 1873. He lived in Mecosta county for 11 years, teaching school there for four years. He married Ada Edwards in 1895 and moved to a farm in Montcalm county until 1913 when he moved to Ionia. They retained a home at 254 East Main street although he worked for 13 years at the University of Michigan hospital. He retired in 1937 and returned to his Ionia home. His wife preceded him in death in July, 1949. He was a member of the Ionia F.A.M. No. 36. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Harry Strickland of Saginaw, Mrs. Floyd Crandall of Dearborn and Mrs. George Brandner of Mlvindale?; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a brother, Henry, of Jackson. Masonic funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Boynton funeral home. The Rev. F. G. Dunbar of Grand Rapids, formerly of Ionia, will officiate. Burial will be in the family lot, Palo cemetery.
