Lake Odessa Wave - Friday July 14, 1899

                                   OBITUARY

Mrs. Hattie Travis of Woodbury, died very suddenly, of heart disease, on Monday 
evening, July 10. She had been working hard all day, and at the time of her 
death was sitting by the door talking with one of her neighbors, when suddenly 
threw up her hands and expired.She was a widow, her  husband dying three year 
ago last April. She leave eight children to mourn her loss, of which the 
youngest is five years old.

She was born January 16, 1903. She was one of six children, three girls and 
three boys, of which only two brothers survive her.

The funeral was held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the U.B Church at Woodbury, of which 
she was a devout member. Rev. Bostwick officiating, and her remains were 
interred in the Lakeside Cemetery at Lake Odessa.
