Helena Marie Travis, age 91, of Corinth., Texas passed away on Monday, October 
30, 2006. Helena was born on August 16, 1915, in Ionia, Michigan the daughter 
of William and Elsie Storch Miller. She married Martin Ruehs on August 27, 
1938. He preceded her in death in 1959. She then married Berdyne D. Travis, on 
August 16, 1964. He preceded her in death in 2003. She was proud of her career 
as a registered nurse and a loving mother to her four children. 

Helena is survived by; Daughters, Marlene Seader (John) of Boulder, CO, 
Carolyn Dunlap (Tom) of Cheboygan, MI, Barbara Curtis (Rick) of Lawton, MI; 
Son, Dan Ruehs (Linda) of Copper Canyon, TX; Brother, Norman Miller of 
Belding, MI; 8 grandchildren, 18 Great grandchildren and 2 Great, Great 
Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers. Raymond and Donald 
Miller and one grandchild, Jeff Crane, who preceded her in death in 2002. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 6, at St. 
John's Lutheran Church in Ionia, Michigan with Rev. Bogda officiating. 
Interment Balcom Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives one 
hour prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be 
made to Hospice or to the Lamb of God Lutheran Church Building Food, 1401 
Cross Timbers Rd.. Flower Mound, TX 75028. Lake Funeral Home of Ionia is in 
charge of arrangements.
