Trierweiler, age 71, of Portland, passed away on December 24, 2004. He was born on January 30, 1933, in Westphalia, the son of Peter and Clara (Platte) Trierweiler. Mr. Trierweiler was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Portland. Jim was a well-known tenor with the Portland Civic Players and Lansing Symphonic Choir. He also enjoyed gardening and singing at numerous area weddings. Jim was preceded in death by his six sisters, Dorothy, Ethelyn, Leona, Lucille, Rosemary and Helene; and four brothers, Elmer, Paul Harold and Jerome. Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Janice; children David Trierweiler and Deanne (Rick) Leik, both of Portland. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. today at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Rev. Larry King presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. Visiting was held this past Sunday and Monday at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home in Portland.
