Ionia Sentinel Standard, 5 Jul 1988

Paul J. Trierweiler, 65, of Ionia, died June 29 at the Ionia Manor.  He was born
March 26, 1923 in Westphalia, the son of Peter J. and Clara (Platte)
Trierweiler.  He married Norma A. Miller on June 7, 1947 in Ionia.  She preceded
him in death on Dec. 29, 1981.

Surviving are two sons, Barry Trierweiler of Saranac and Steven Trierweiler of
Greenfield, Mass.; three grandchildren; two brothers, Elmer Trierweiler of Ionia
and James Trierweiler of Portland; five sisters Dorothy Goodman of Portland,
Ethelyn Costello of Lansing, Lucille Spitzley of St. Johns, Leona Nelson of
Lansing and Helene Trierweiler of Ionia; several nieces and nephews.  He was
preceded in death by two brothers, Jerome and Harold and one sister, Rosemary
Carpenter.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul’s
Catholic Church of Ionia.  Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.  The rosary
will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Rich Street Chapel.  The family will
be at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Cook
Funeral Home, Ionia.  A veterans memorial service will be held at the cemetery
after the Mass under the auspices of the V.F.W. Sheridan Post No. 5065. 
Memorial contributions may be made to SS. Peter and Paul’s Academy or the
American Cancer Society.
