He was born July 20, 1907 in Portland township on the farm where he spent his lifetime. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Trierweiler. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic church in Portland and also belonged to the Farm Bureau. Surviving are his wife, Gertrude, three sons; Ronald of Westphalia, Harold of Las Vegas, Nev., and Thomas of Portland; five daughters, Mrs. Donna Martin of Rock, Mrs. Ann Marie Waldron of Eaton Rapids and Diana Trierweiler at home; 25 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two brothers, Leo and Sylvester of Portland; seven sisters, Sister Elizabeth Bernard of Nazareth, Kalamazoo, Sister Evangeline of East Detroit; Mrs. Benita Wilcox of Portland; Mrs. Regina Albert of Waupen, Wis., Mrs. Agnes Gross and Rita Trierweiler of Portland, Mrs. Florence Shindorf of Belding. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic church in Portland. Rev. Fr. Joseph Malewitz will officiate and interment will be at St. Mary’s cemetery at Westphalia. Rosary will be recited Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. at Neller funeral home in Portland.
