Trimmer, formerly of Lansing, age 64, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010. He was born on April 1, 1946 in Lansing, the son of Theodore and Clarabelle (Miller) Trimmer. Bob graduated from Lansing Eastern High School. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church for 37 years and was a retiree of Fisher Body and Portland St. Patrick School He bled green and white for Michigan State University and St. Patrick School and loved to watch cars turn left. He was preceded in death by his mom and dad, Frank B. and Katherine Potts; sister, Linda Ford. Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Janice; children, Stephen (Mitos) Trimmer of Jackson, Deana (Mike) Broughman of Jackson, Robert (Jamie) Trimmer of Westphalia, Andrew Trimmer of Roy, Utah, and Jamie (Keith) Ryder of Portland; grandchildren, Leila (Marc) McDonald, Sheila Trimmer, Jonathan Arford, Katie Broughman, Devin Broughman, Aiyana Broughman, Dylan Lanz, Kelseah Trimmer, Carter Trimmer, Keifer Trimmer, Patience Hoppes, Lynden Hoppes, Adia Ryder, baby boy Ryder, Don Don Ramos, Dominic Ramos, baby Deanna Angulo; great grandson, Brenden Fabiano; faithful companion, Boo Boo; brothers, Frank E. Potts of Lansing and Thomas Trimmer of Alma, several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, December 13, 2010 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Rev. Larry King presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Schrauben- Lehman Funeral Home, Portland from 2-4 and 79 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Rosaries will be prayed at 3 and 8 p.m. both days. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Portland Right to Life or to St. Patrick's Catholic School in memory of Robert S. Trimmer.
