Mary Jane Trout
Died Tuesday July 13, 2021-age 100 in Traverse City, MI.
Daughter of Arthur Guy Klahn and Edna Ethel (Winey).
Preceded in death by her husband, Chester Adams Trout, her sister Marquibelle 
(Klahn) Burwick and parents.
Survived by daughters Christie Jo Trout (Gerald L.Hacker), Laura Jane (Trout) 
Kazmer (Wayne W); grandchildren Catherine Elvira (Bonofiglio) Miller (Jason 
Miller), Daniel Adams Bonofiglio (Leslie (Archer) Bonofiglio),Joseph Michael 
Bonofiglio (Amanda (Svidron) Bonofiglio); and great-grandchildren Hannah Jane 
Miller, Thea Belle Bonofiglio and Nora Jane Bonofiglio, Chester Joseph 
Bonofiglio and Avett Michael Bonofiglio.
She earned her BA & teaching certificate at Western Michigan University.
Taught school in Kentucky & Michigan.
Worked for the Army at Fort Knox during WW II.
Earned Master's Degree in Library Science from WMU & served as reference 
Librarian for State of Michigan Library in Michigan History & Michigan 
Genealogy.
Was editor of the Michigan History Magazine.
Member of Eastern Star in Wacousta, lodge #359.
Lived in West side Lansing, retired to Grand Ledge, spent winters in Palmento, 
Florida.
Visitation is at Peters & Murray in Grand Ledge, Mich.,Saturday, July 17, 2021 
from 2:00-2:45 PM.
Private internment at Lakeside cemetery, Lake Odessa, Mich. for family.
Donations would be appreciated to Hospice of Mich., Habitat for Humanity, the 
Democratic party, or charity of your choice,
