It seems she had eaten some ham and as the refrigerator was out of repair the remainder was put in the basement at her home. Eating again of the meat she was taken violently ill. It was found that the left-over meat had spoiled which resulted in her death. Mrs. Trowbridge was Lillian May Day, was born in Pauling county, Ohio, and in 1880 was married to Jerome Trowbridge a veteran of the Civil war. They came to Michigan and settled at Edmore, 40 years ago moving to Lake Odessa. Mrs. Trowbridge was a member of the First United Brethren in Christ church here and of the Woman's Relief Corps. Surviving are four sons, Delos in lake Odessa, Omer in Grand Rapids, Charles and Allie in Lansing, one daughter Gayla, Mrs. George Reed in Grand Rapids, 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The funeral was held at the church Monday, the pastor the Rev. E. A. Shulls officiating and Mrs. Bert Mourer and Homer Bartlett sang with Mrs. Bartlett accompanying. Burial was in Lakeside cemetery.
