The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, December 17, 1940
Mrs. Almon Trowbridge, former resident of near Saranac, died at the Foote 
hospital in Jackson Saturday evening after a long illness.  She was born in 
Clarksville, May 27, 1871 and spent the greater part of her life in 
Clarksville and Saranac.  She was active in the Methodist church.

Surviving are one son, Ray of Jackson; one step-son, Edward Wiley of Jackson; 
two daughters, Mrs. Mary Ellis and Mrs. Mina Shields, both of Jackson; and one 
brother, J. B. Cummings of Saranac.  

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at Jackson and prayer services will be 
held at the grave.  Interment will be at the Saranac cemetery.
