Ionia Sentinel Standard, 2 Nov 1987

Lena L. Trowbridge, 76, of 8636 Maple Road, Lyons, died Sunday, November 1, in
Ionia.  She was born June 21, 1911 in Eagle, the daughter of Anthony and
Mathilda (Kelly) Newman.

Survivors include her husband, Howard Trowbridge, of Lyons; two sons, Francis
Trowbridge of Portland and Ernest Burns of Hudsonville; three daughters, Esther
Loper of Phoenix, Arizona, Beatrice Boersema of Hudsonville and Marlene
Hitchcock of Portland; 23 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Rosary services will be held Monday evening at the Neller Funeral Home in
Portland.  A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Nov. 3, 10 a.m. from St.
Patrick’s Church with the Rev. Richard VanLente officiating.  Burial will follow
in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Muskegon.
