Trudell Charles P. Trudell, 82, passed away Thursday evening at Pennock Hospital, Hastings, where he was hospitalized a week. He was born September 18, 1889 in Clay Center, Kansas, the son of Eli and Ada (Goodwin) Trudell. A veteran of World War I, he enlisted April 26, 1918 and served as an auto mechanic and overseas on the AEF St. Mihiel-Argonne-Meuse battle fronts. Following his discharge from service, April 22, 1919, he came to Michigan where had lived for many years. He had resided at the home of Mr. and Mrs. LaVerne Eldridge and family for the past 23 years. Surviving are two brothers and a sister residing in the western states. Funeral services were held on Sunday at two o’clock at Pickens funeral Chapel, Rev. Marvin Zimmerman officiated with burial in Clay Center, Kansas.
