Truedell, 82, died Thursday evening at Pennock hospital in Hastings where he had been a patient one week. Born in Clay Center, Kan., September 18, 1889, he was the son of Ely and Ady Truedell. A veteran of World War I he had enlisted April 26, 1918, and served in France in St. Michael Argonne-meuse as an auto mechanic. He received his discharge April 22, 1919 at Camp Dodge, Iowa. Following his discharge he came to Michigan where he lived many years, the past 23 years at the home of Mr. and Mrs. LaVerne Eldridge and family. Surviving are two brothers and one sister in the west. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa. Rev. Marvin Zimmerman will officiate and interment will be at Clay Center, Kansas.
