Daily Standard – Thursday, 11 June 1896
John Truesdell, for many years a resident of this community, died at him home, 
one mile north of town, Monday afternoon at one o’clock.  Funeral services are 
to be held this afternoon at the North Plains church.  He was been almost 
totally disabled for many years, and during that time has been a great 
sufferer.  He leaves several children all of whom have families of their own.  
His wife died several years ago.
