Jan. 19, 1931 Charles Trumbull, of Saranac, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Trumbull, died Sunday morning at 8 o’clock as plans were being made to take him to Grand Rapids for an operation for intestinal obstruction. He had been sick since Thursday evening. The funeral services will be conducted from the home of his parents Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Charles was born in Saranac and had always lived there. He was a member of the seventh grade in the Saranac school and of the Methodist Episcopal Sunday school. His loss to the community will be keenly felt for he was a talented singer and stepped beyond the circles with which he was affiliated to assist in benefit programs. Besides his parents he leaves a brother, Thomas, older and a sister, Peggy, aged three, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. E. Baker.
