Dec. 5, 2017 Excerpts from Obituary: DOUGLAS JAY TRUMBULL Born May 19, 1946, died Saturday, December 2, 2017-age 71 Served in the United States navy for four years active duty in Vietnam. Doug was a tool Maker by trade. An Assistant Boy Scout Master, Troop #71 Saranac, where his son Colten achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Survived by wife, Alane, sons Colten & Christopher (Kayte) Trumbull, Philip Mason (Vanessa & Joan), grandchildren Kimberly, Cassandra, Evelynn & great grandson Daede. Also surviving are step-children Delaney and Curtis Washburn. Preceded in death by his wife, Ellene Slater Trumbull. Family is grateful for the care he received for many years at VA Hospital in Ann Arbor & especially the last week of his life. Funeral services will be held Saturday December 9 at 12:00 p.m. at Saranac community church with Pastor Becky Poor officiating. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
