Joseph P. Trumpower, 55, Lake Odessa barber, died about 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday,
July 11, at Pennock hospital in Hastings.  He was admitted on Tuesday morning,
following a heart attack.  He was born in Mason County on October 24, 1905, the
son of Peter and Nellie Trumpower.  He spent most of his life in the Lake Odessa
area, graduating from the Lake Odessa high school in 1925.  He married Bertha
Dilley at Portland on April 16, 1939.  He went into the barber business with his
father in 1931 and continued the business after his father’s retirement.

Surviving, besides his wife, Bertha, are one brother, Raymond of Lake Odessa;
three sisters, Mrs. Hazel Tucker of Belding, Mrs. Albert (Vada) Darling and Mrs.
James (Nellie) Landon, both of Portland and his stepmother, Mrs. Alice Trumpower
of Lake Odessa.

Funeral services are Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Pickens funeral home 
Officiating will be Rev. Glenn McCarty and burial is in Lakeside cemetery.
