The Ionia Standard, Friday, April 30, 1915

The death angel came kindly to the relief of Miss Mary E. Tubbs at 3:15 
o’clock this morning, at the home of her mother, Mrs. F. H. Tubbs, 805 Hackett 
street.  Miss Tubbs had a wide acquaintance in Ionia city, where she was a 
lifelong resident, and a graduate of the high school here.  As a growing girl 
deceased was known and admired for her bright and sunny disposition,
but after her graduation a nervous breakdown came, and from that time until 
her demise she was a constant sufferer, without more than temporary relief.  
She was aged 56 years.  Funeral service at the home on Thursday afternoon at 
2:00 o’clock with interment in Oak Hill cemetery.
