Oct. 5, 2012 BELDING- Irene Anna Lillian Tucker, 98, of Saranac, passed away on Wednesday morning Oct. 3, 2012, at Metron of Belding Nursing Home. Irene was born on Dec. 25, 1913 in Loup City, Neb., the daughter of Simon and Clara (Bauman) Iossi. She attended schools in Alliance, Neb., where the family moved when she was four years old. She married Hugh Tucker in Alliance, Neb. on Aug. 24, 1930. Her family moved to Michigan in 1949. She had been a member of the Free Methodist Church since 1961 in Holton, then in 1981 in Belding. She taught Sunday school and held several offices in the church and the Women's Ministries International Mission group. She was employed for 15 years with the Newaygo County Medical Care Facility in Fremont. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Tucker in 1963; sons, Dennis and Raydene; and daughter, MaryLu Pontias; sisters, Caroline, Marcella; and brothers, Duane and Edward. She is loved and survived by her family, William (Eleanor) Tucker of Sioux City, Iowa, Delores Davenport of Saranac, Darlene (Paul) Sabatino of Ft. Meyer, Fla., Karen (Rev. Dave) Legge of Shawano, Wis.; 26 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and many great-great grandchildren. Funeral and committal prayers will be 11 a.m. Saturday a the Belding Free Methodist Church with Revs. Dave Legge and Rich Fulkerson officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Johnson- Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, and one hour before the service at church. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Holton.
