Tucker July 17, 1964, in Flint, at the age of 87 years. The Rev. Lyal H. Howison of Flint conducted the rites. Burial was made in the family lot in South Boston cemetery. Mr. Tucker was born in Boston township, Ionia county, January 18, 1877, to Samuel E. and Abigail Livermore Tucker and lived in that area and in Lowell most of his life. After the death of his wife, the former Minnie Chapman, he went to live with his son. He was a farmer and followed that occupation all of his life. Surviving are his son, Ellis; two daughters, Mrs. Orson (Winnie) Wildfong of Greenville and Mrs. Clarence (Elsie) Chambers of Birmingham, five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was the last remaining member of the S. E. Tucker family, one of the old and well known families to settle in Boston township when that part of this county was new.
