RICHARD M. TUITMAN
Portland,MI -Richard M. Tuitman, of Portland, age 83 passed away peacefully into 
the arms of his Lord after a lengthy illness with heart disease.

He was born in Chicago, IL on March 12, 1932 to Tom and Nell Tuitman. Richard 
had a long work history in the pipefitting industry, served as an MP in Germany 
during the Korean War. He was a hobby farmer who took great pride in his 
beautiful flower garden.

He was a member of the Lakewood United Methodist church and the Lakewood choral 
Society as singing was a great love of his. During this time, he had the 
privilege of touring and singing in Europe.

Richard took great joy in watching his 13 grandchildren and 21 great-
grandchildren grow up.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joyce (Bruinius) Tuitman; children, 
Cindi Coats (Fiance Bob Green). Barg and Randy Klein, Rick and Valerie Tuitman, 
Sandy and Jeff Henney, Ken and Lana Tuitman; brother, Tom Tuitman; sister, Ruth 
Togtman; many extended nieces and nephews.

At his request , cremation has take place and memorial services will be 
announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's 
Hospital in memory of Richard M. Tuitman. Online condolences may be made at
