Sentinel-Standard - Thursday, Dec. 14, 1961

Clyde Tupes, 64, of route four,  Berlin township, died at 5:45 Thursday morning at 
Ionia County Memorial hospital, where he was a patient one day. He had been ill 
since April.

He was born November 18, 1897 in Ohio, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tupes and had

resided in Berlin township since 1937. He was employed at Ionia Manufacturing 
company until three months ago when he took a leave of absence due to ill health.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby; a son, Paul, at home; a brother, Earl Tupes of 
Muskegon and a sister, Miss Minnie Priest of Leesburg, Ohio.

Funeral will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Myers funeral home with the Rev. 
Donald Meikle of LeValley Methodist church officiating. Burial will be at Sunset 
Memorial Garden Shrines.
