Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard - Fri. Jan. 29, 1954

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 30, at 2 p.m. from the Ellis 
funeral home for Joe Tupper, 82. Burial will be at the River Ridge cemetery at 
Belding. The rev. H.S. Ellis will officiate.

The Ionia Elks lodge will conduct the graveside services.

Mr. Tupper died at his home at 703 Root street, Belding, Jan. 28, at 5 a.m.

He was born Oct. 28, 1871, Ray township, Macomb county and had lived most of 
his life in Belding. During his lifetime he worked as a carpenter and was a 
contractor.

In 1918 he married Miss Minnie Sanborn who preceded him in death. 

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Helen Meabon of Belding, Mrs. Clifford 
Stortz of Lansing, and Mrs. Reynold  Vos of Grand Rapids, and four grandsons.

Members of the Elks lodge who will act as bearers are: Vernon C. Shotwell, 
Frank W. Minier, Arthur S. Lind, Richard R. Hawley, Lincoln Rush and Roman J. 
Slowinski.
