Dies Suddenly

George Sturgis of Saranac, who has been the village marshal and nightwatchman 
since last spring, did his chores, ate his breakfast and was in his usual 
health when Mrs. Sturgis went to the store in the morning. When she returned at 
noon she looked into the bedroom and saw him there and supposed he was asleep. 
She got dinner ready and sent her little granddaughter to call him. She came 
back and said grandpa would not wake up. Mrs. Sturgis went to the bedroom and 
she at once realized that he was in a serious condition. She called for help, 
but before Dr. Hay arrived he had passed away.
