Ex-Portlandite Dies Tuesday

Mrs. Ethel Turner Passes In Jackson Following Long Illness

Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Phillips Turner, 47, formerly of Portland, who 
died Tuesday, will be held Friday at 11 a.m.

Mrs. Turner died in Foote Hospital, Jackson, following a long illness.  She has 
been in the hospital for several months during the past year.

Mrs. Turner was formerly Mrs. Herman Goodell.  She left Portland about 25 years 
ago, to live in Jackson.

Surviving her are her husband, John Turner; her mother, Mrs. Ben York of 
Portland; one brother, Lloyd Phillips, Portland; two daughters, Mrs. Eva 
Johnson and Miss Virginia Goodell, both of Jackson.

Funeral services will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ben York, on Mulliken 
road.  Rev. John H. Stewart will officiate.  Burial will be made in Danby 
cemetery.
