The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, November 20, 1992
Hazel May (Ruid) Turner, formerly of Saranac, died November 2 in Austin, 
Texas.  She was cremated.  She was born November 3, 1934, the daughter of 
William and Bessie Vandercreek.

She is survived by 10 children: Leta Pearson, Joe and Bill Bennett, Cathy 
Mays, Walter Bush, and Jessie, Alice, Edward, and Jacob Johnson, all of Grand 
Rapids, and Betty Otto of Petoskey; and two brothers, Dave Ruid of Saranac and 
Jessie Vandercreek of St. Johns.  One brother preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Free Methodist 
Church, with the Rev. Elvis Shook officiating.
