David Aldon Turrill, 62, of Comstock Park, died Thursday morning, Oct. 30, 2008,
at home with his family by his side.  He was born Jan. 25, 1946, in Saginaw, the
son of Victor and Marjorie Holliday Turrill.

David was a teacher who had a true passion and love for working with children. 
He created drama programs at each of the schools at which he taught.  He also
coached basketball at Valley Lutheran High School in Saginaw for 15 years as
well as at Belding High School for a couple of years.  David was an accomplished
author having four books published.  

David was married to Janice K Woodward and she preceded him in 1996.  He was
also preceded by his parents and one niece, Clare Turrill.  David is survived by
his children, Amy and John Klapko of Comstock Park, David and Nicole Turrill of
Canton; his grandchildren, Jarrad, Brody, Colton, Christian, Abigail, Madelyn
and Kaia; his sister and brother-in-law, Janet and William Murphy of Saginaw;
his brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Calla Turrill of Empire; and his nieces,
Marjorie Murphy, Laura Harrigan and McKenna Turrill.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Belding High School auditorium. 
Interment will be in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Saginaw.  Visitation will be
from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, and for
two hours Sunday before the service at the high school.  Memorial contributions
may be given to the Belding Education Foundation, 1965 Hall St., Belding, Mich.
