Lucher, daughter of Jacob and Minnie Lucher, was born in Sebewa, April 22, 1881, and departed this life April 28, 1935, at her home in Woodland at the age of 54 years and seven days. On December 1, 1918 she was united in marriage to Harry B. Tusing, who is left to mourn the loss of a faithful wife. She also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Emma Gibbs of Portland, Mrs. Ada Johnson of Brigham City, Utah, and Mrs. Edna McNeil of Sebewa; three brothers and one sister preceded her in death—Mrs. Alma Sandborn, Walter, Homer, and John Lucher. Funeral services were held at the Sebewa Center Methodist church Thursday afternoon of last week. The bearers were Jacob, Riley, Allen, Raymond, and Melborn Sandborn, and Charles Wilson, all of Portland, nephews of the deceased. Others from a distance in attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Jenson and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Dolan of Grand Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. William Lloyd, and Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Gilmore of Lansing, Mr. and Mrs. Elva Carey and sons, and Arthur Friend of Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Goff, and Mrs. Charles Wilson of Portland, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Taylor of Saranac, and Harry Kauffman and daughter Miss Reva of Clarksville.
