Tuttle, lifelong resident of this section of the state, occurred at the home of her grand-daughter, Mrs. Harold Davis, in Keene township, south of this city, Thursday afternoon of last week. Death was the result of heart attack and came to Mrs. Tuttle within a short distance of the place where she was born, 79 years ago. Mrs. Tuttle was the daughter of the late Charles Northway and wife, pioneer residents of Keene township, and was born on October 22, 1862. On July 3, 1879 she was married to Lewis Tuttle and for many years they were prominent farm residents of this community, taking an active part in all civic and community affairs. Mr. and Mrs. Tuttle retired from farm life a number of years ago and took up their residence on Lewis street in this city, where they resided until the passing of Mr. Tuttle in 1940. Mrs. Tuttle was a former member of the O.E.S., a charter member of the West Otisco Farmers club and a member of the Grattan Grange and Gleaners. Surviving are three sons, Roy, living in Otisco township, Allen, of this city and Bert Tuttle, of Greenville, a sister, Mrs. Fannie Emerson, of San Antonio, Texas and nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held from the Fitzjohn Funeral Home, Sunday afternoon at two o’clock, with Rev. H.S. Ellis officiating and burial in the family lot in Otisco cemetery.
